According to a Japanese gaming blog Esutero Battlefield 3 will be released on Xbox 360 on 2 discs. With Video games containing more and more content it really isn’t a surprise. This isn’t the first game Microsoft has had to split onto different discs with the recent release LA Noire being shared onto a unusual three-disc system.
The console’s lack of storage on discs is becoming a issue for developers and players alike. Last year Jun Takeuchi, Lost Planet 2 producer, said that Capcom had to cut a large amount of content purely because there wasn’t enough space.
Microsoft has already tried to reduce the issue in March when they began trialing a new disc format which would allow an extra 1GB of storage on Xbox 360 discs creating a total of close to 10GB.
The Japanese blog did also include that Battlefield 3 will only be on one disc for PlayStation 3 due to their huge Blu-Ray discs.
Dont forget to check back at 6pm (GMT) to see my first review, it’s a review of one of my all time favorite games, so don’t miss it!

Across every genre of entertainment there are specific titles or releases that become synonymous with failure, that in the eyes of fans and critics alike embody the worst that the genre has to offer.
