Xbox Live users got a sneak peek as to what the next update of the dashboard was going to look like at E3 this year. For those who didn’t sign up to the Xbox Live Preview Program, you shall be getting to experience the new dashboard as of December 6th which is free to all console users.

In this update, the following will be featured to all users:

  • personal and social features that include Cloud Storage for all your game saves and LIVE profile so that you don’t need to download it everytime you need it at a mates house for a game of FIFA.
  •  Beacons and Facebook sharing will be introduced.
  • Enhanced family settings.
  • Integrated voice and gesture controls across the dashboard and in apps – this was briefly shown to us at E3 where by simply speaking to your Xbox or waving your hand, you could navigate through the dashboard instead of having to pick up your controller.
  • and finally, Bing voice search will be available this year in the UK, US and Canada.

It’s been mentioned that the new dashboard will eventually feature new applications for television, movies, internet videos, sports and music from world-leading providers such as YouTube.
