It hasn’t been long since we’ve seen the latest installment to the Dead Rising series hit the stores a couple months ago, and now we’re getting information on the new game.
Dead Rising 3 is to be set in the fictional town of Los Perdidos, California and after the town is put under lock down, the main protagonist of the game with a few others decide to take matters into their own hands.
The main protaganist of DR3 is called Rick (see left for concept art) . He’s an orphan and works as a mechanic. After the zombie apocalypse has broken out, Rick’s unsure of himself, making him a completely different character to Frank West who we saw make a return in the recent installment of the game Dead Rising 2 : Off The Record. With a bomb set to destroy the city that’s already being destroyed by zombies, Rick plans to restore a plane and escape the town before the bomb goes off.
As well as this, it’s been told to Siliconera that Dead Rising 3 is set to have a theme about illegal immigration running through the games storyline. A character called Red is set to make an appearance and is in charge of an underground group of illegals – infected people that are not registered by the government. Red’s girlfriend, Annie, is a runaway that just so happens to be a little sympathetic to those that are infected.
As with any zombie game, survivors can either be helpful to you whereas others will have lost their minds. One of the psychopaths that you will encounter in Dead Rising 3 is a biker gang member who drives a motorcycle with a difference, a “Roller Hog”, and is basically a motorcycle with a steam roller attached to the front of the bike – oh god!
