Rayman Origins is a platform game published and developed by Ubisoft and recently came out for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii with later launches on the Nintendo 3DS and Playstation Vita.
The story follows the beloved Rayman accompanied by his friend Globox and two teensies as they fight Darktoons and other evil creatures that have infected the Glade of Dreams.
As many gamers grew up playing the Rayman series, Rayman Origins was set to detail the origin and early times of Rayman. The game was to have appearances from characters and creatures such as Betilla the Fairy that made her debut in the first game. With this in mind, Ubisoft wished the game to be accessible for those players who are unfamiliar to the Rayman series which lead them to scrap the storyline entirely and introduce it as a sequel to the Rayman franchise however, the Bubble Dreamer’s references to the events placed in previous games confirm Origins place in the timeline.
