For those that missed it, Spike TV held the Video Game Awards over the weekend at the Sony Picture Studios in California. The awards seen previews for upcoming titles such as Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six:Patriots, Bioshock Infinite, Metal Gear Solid : Rising plus many more. The Playstation 3 exclusive title The Last Of Us was announced by developers Naughty Dog( trailer below) followed by BioWare Victory announcing the latest Command and Conquer game (more information can be found here) and finally from Epic Games, Fortnite.
With regards to the winners of the awards show, Batman Arkham City earned it’s fair share of awards with the Best Xbox 360 game and the The Joker getting Character of the Year. Bethesda picked up a fair collection of awards for The Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim including studio of the year, best RPG and that all important one – game of the year.
Other winners of the VGA’s included Portal 2, Uncharted 3 : Drakes Deception and Minecraft. A full list of the winners from the VGA’s can be found on the website here.
