Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate has officially been announced in the June edition of Nintendo Power, and will be making an exclusive appearance on the Nintendo 3DS.
This newest installment is 25 years after the events of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and will follow Trevor Belmont. There will be three other playable characters throughout the entire game, including Simon Belmont and two unannounced characters.
Experience will be learned though new combos and abilities, and each character will have abilities unique to themselves. The combat system was described to similar to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow with different heavy and light attacks, blocks and grabs.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate was designed using 3D polygonal characters and scenery, but a majority of the game will be played in a 2D setting. The game will also focus on a non-linear exploration which can lead do some environments that are explored in a 3D way.
Konami will likely to announce Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate as part of their pre-E3 press conference on Friday, June 1.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow has been rumored to get a sequel on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii U, and Playstation Vita which would likely be announced at the previously mention event.
