This just in from BioWare: Mass Effect 3′s Extended Cut DLC, which means to expound on the events at the end of the series’ penultimate entry, will be released at no cost to everyone in North America and Xbox and PC gamers on June 26th with more international release dates to come.
As has been widely publicized, fans were disappointed with the lack of closure provided by Mass Effect 3′s ending and petitioned BioWare to either change or add more information to the ending for a richer experience. After much backlash, including the razing of a BW staff writer who had no say in the ending’ s final form, and a fan campaign that raised over $80K for charity, BioWare responded, saying they would create the Extended Cut, which will be available on PlayStation 3, Xbox360, and PC via EA’s Origin service.
