Bad news for both fans of the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series and also for producer Namco. The widely anticipated Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, origninally slated for an August 21st release, has been delayed by a few months and will now be released on October 9th if there are no more issues. Namco have not released any information regarding the reason for the delay.
This is a disappointment for fans of the series who were looked forward to sinking their teeth into the sequel as soon as possible but it is also a blow for Namco regarding potential sales of the game as it has now been pushed into the busy pre-Christmas schedule alongside wildly popular shooting franchises such as Halo and Call of Duty.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 uses the beautiful Cryengine 3 and aims to deliver more diverse environments, enhanced AI, new sniper challenges and the sniping precision that made the original a fvaourite with many fans.
Disappointing news but if it means the game will be better when it is released then bring it on. Check out the latest trailer using the Cryengine 3 below:
