There’s been rumours flying around the Internet this morning that Square Enix has cancelled the project that it was currently working on, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, to move onto working on Final Fantasy XV – according to Kotaku anyways.
The game had been abandoned several weeks ago and was going to let the talk of it die down quietly and leave it to rest peacefully. The word of Final Fantasy Versus XIII in recent months has been something of a whisper but have we just been missing the signs that have been more than clear for us gamers?
Back in March, the games designer Tetsuya Nomura spoke to Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu and said “We’re almost done with preparing the latest info for the game. Because of a totally unrelated reason, there are circumstances in which that info cannot be released.” Move onto May of the his year and Nomura comment on the game, this time to Game Informer that “We would like to ask for you patience on an official announcement for this title. It always takes time when tackling the challenge of doing something completely new, but we are doing our best to bring information to the fans as quickly as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.”

No information as of yet about Final Fantasy XV as of yet but keep checking back to Zero1Gaming for all of the updates on the game when they are released.
