Computerandvideogames.com are reporting that Nintendo have delayed the release of the anticipated Wii U in Europe until December.

The Wii U, which still doesn’t have a release date, is apparently facing manufacturing difficulties in Europe for things such as the Game Pad, according to CVG sources. The rumour goes on to say that the Wii U is still on track for a pre-thanksgiving release in the US market.

Personally, I think December is a very appropriate release date. As long as Nintendo create some TV adverts and make the console look great and make us feel like we’re missing out on something if we don’t buy it, December is the perfect time – with Christmas just around the corner – the console will most likely sell more.

What do you think about this rumour? Are you upset, if you are in Europe, that the Wii U may get delayed? Let us know in the comments!

I am hopeful the Wii2 will be ptetry good. I think they were very wise in their use of motion sensors with the first Wii. I think those types of devices (that xbox and playstation later on copied) are the way of the future. I am ptetry sure this new system will be in HD (whatever that means as it is always relative), and importantly is reverse compatible. I think it will do as well if not better than the first Wii, and will do well until sony or microsoft (together) decide to release their next.
