The highly popular, Borderlands 2 has suffered from a glitch. It was recently discovered that the Badass Ranks – a measurement of in game achievements obtained by a player – are being reset and golden keys are being removed.
The problem appeared during the release of the Mechromancer DLC earlier this week, but game developer Gearbox Software says the release and the game glitch are unrelated to each other.
“The good news is that the release of ‘Mechromancer’ and today’s update are not connected to the occurrences of Badass Rank being reset,” read an official statement.
“While the timing may appear coincidental, it’s a separate issue that we are continuing to investigate.”
Currently there is no word on whether player’s rankings and/or keys will be returned to their original amounts.
Other news that revolves around Borderlands 2 includes a hinted theme to the first expansion, which reports reveals a pirate-themed expansion. This pack is one of four DLC packs which is expected between now and June 2013.
Released in September, Borderlands 2 is the second highest selling title of year, being beat out from the top spot by Fifa ’13.
