Diablo 4 anniversary event gives players free gifts and a reason to hunt goblins again

May 28, 2026·3 min read
Diablo 4 is celebrating its third anniversary with the kind of event players can actually use. Blizzard is giving away free weapon cosmetics, bringing back Mother’s Blessing for faster leveling, and filling Sanctuary with more Treasure Goblins through March of the Goblins.

The celebration runs in early June, but players should start checking the in-game shop from June 1. A new free weapon cosmetic will appear each day through June 6, and all of them can be claimed until June 9. The main event bonuses begin on June 2 at 10 AM PDT.

Free weapon cosmetics are the easiest rewards to grab

The anniversary gifts are simple: log in, open the shop, and claim the free weapon skins before the event ends. The rewards include Blood Raven’s Talon, King Kanai’s Last Stand, Nangari Wounder, Overlord’s Odium, and Flamefinger’s Claws.

These cosmetics do not change builds or power levels, which is fine. They are quick rewards for players who have stayed with Diablo 4 through its seasons, reworks, expansion content, and balance changes.

The main thing is not to leave them until the last day. Since the gifts arrive one by one, players who care about collecting everything should check in during the week instead of waiting and hoping they remember later.

Mother’s Blessing is for leveling alts and catching up

Mother’s Blessing returns with increased multiplicative XP across Seasonal and Eternal realms. That makes the anniversary a good time to level another class, push Paragon progress, or bring an unfinished character closer to the endgame.

That is because Diablo 4 events work best when they give players a practical reason to log in. Free cosmetics are nice, but a stronger XP window helps returning players make real progress instead of only claiming shop items and leaving.

For active players, the bonus also makes farming feel more worthwhile during the event week. Anyone already running dungeons, Helltides, or seasonal activities should get more out of the same playtime.

March of the Goblins gives players something to chase

March of the Goblins is back with more Treasure Goblins and an event reputation board. Completing the final rank unlocks the Regalia of the Sacred Creed, giving players a clear reward for hunting down the greedy little pests instead of only relying on random loot drops.

Goblin events are easy to understand, quick to jump into, and a good fit for Diablo 4 because they turn normal runs into small loot hunts.

The best approach is simple: play the activities you already enjoy, chase goblins when they appear, and use the XP boost to make every session count before the event ends.
