Two Point Museum’s new art DLC builds millions of artworks without using generative AI
May 14, 2026·3 min read
Two Point Museum is giving players a new kind of gallery to manage. The Arty-Facts DLC adds an art-focused campaign, a new museum location, and an Art Studio where staff can create original paintings, portraits, and sculptures from handcrafted pieces rather than generative AI.
Players are not just placing fixed exhibits in rooms anymore. They can now build a working studio, hire Art Experts, and fill their museum with artwork that looks different from one save to another.
Sega says the system can create more than 250 million possible combinations by mixing artist-made parts, colours, filters, frames, materials, and layouts. That gives Arty-Facts a strong hook at a time when players are paying closer attention to how games use, or avoid, AI-made assets.
The Art Studio gives museums a new way to grow
The Art Studio is the main reason Arty-Facts stands out. Players can build the room inside their museum and use it to produce new pieces instead of relying only on expeditions for exhibits.
Art Experts can create paintings, portraits, and sculptures for display. The system uses handcrafted parts made by the development team, then combines them in different ways to create a large range of results.
AI-made art has become a sensitive topic in games, especially when studios do not explain how assets are being made. Two Point Studios is taking the safer and clearer route here by building variety from artist-made pieces rather than machine-generated images.
It also works with the series’ style. Two Point games have always turned everyday jobs into strange little systems, and Arty-Facts does the same with art. The museum is still silly, but the feature gives players a real reason to care about how each gallery looks.
Undee Docks turns the DLC into a full art campaign
Arty-Facts is not only a studio room. The DLC adds Undee Docks, a new museum location built around the art theme. Players work through a fresh campaign, explore Zara’s Sketchbook as a new expedition map, and unlock new exhibits as the museum grows.
The expansion includes famous-style artworks, performance pieces, interactive displays, and original art made through the studio. It also adds themed decorations and museum items, giving players more control over how their art spaces feel.
That matters for a management game built around personality. Two Point Museum is at its best when its exhibits are funny, strange, and useful to the wider museum layout. Arty-Facts gives players another themed branch to build around instead of simply adding more objects to place.
Base game owners can try part of it for free
Two Point Studios has also released update 9.0 alongside the DLC. Base game owners can play the first star of the Undee Docks campaign, use the Art Studio, and access the opening part of Zara’s Sketchbook without buying the full pack.
The free update also brings quality-of-life changes and lets players hire an Arty-Fact Expert after reaching the right point in the campaign. Players who buy the full DLC get the rest of Undee Docks, the complete expedition map, and the full art-themed content set.
