Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition leaks with a price tag nobody is meant to pay
June 2, 2026·3 min read
Rayman Origins may be coming back, but the leak that gave it away is almost funnier than the reveal itself. A listing for Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition briefly appeared on the Xbox Store with a price of $1,999.99, which is almost certainly a placeholder and not Ubisoft suddenly trying to sell a 2D platformer for the price of a used car.
Once the joke price is out of the way, the leak points to something fans have wanted for years: a modern version of one of Rayman’s best games. The listing was removed quickly, but it suggested Ubisoft is preparing an enhanced release with sharper visuals, smoother performance, co-op support, and quality-of-life improvements.
The leaked version sounds like the right kind of upgrade
Rayman Origins does not need a full remake to work today. Its hand-drawn art style still looks great, and the game’s fast, musical platforming has aged better than most releases from 2011.
A cleaner 4K image, 60fps gameplay, and a few modern fixes could be enough to make the game feel new without touching the personality that made it special.
The important part is access. Rayman Origins has been stuck in that awkward space where fans remember it fondly, but newer players may not have an easy reason to seek it out. An enhanced edition could fix that.

Rayman still has a charm Ubisoft rarely uses now
Ubisoft has plenty of bigger brands, but Rayman has always offered something different. It is colorful, weird, silly, and built around movement instead of maps, gear, or long checklists.
The game brought Rayman back with gorgeous levels, playful co-op, strange enemies, and platforming that felt light without feeling empty. It was simple to understand, but full of energy.
A modern release would not need to explain much. Put Rayman Origins on current hardware, make it run beautifully, and let the game do the rest.
The leak fits a larger Rayman comeback
The timing is interesting because Ubisoft has been giving Rayman more attention lately. Fans have spent years asking for the character to return properly, and an Origins remaster would be a safe way to test that interest.
Before Ubisoft risks a full new game, it can bring back one of the strongest entries in the series and see how players respond.
That does not mean a new Rayman game is guaranteed. It only means this leak feels less random than it would have a few years ago.
Ubisoft still needs to make it official
For now, Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition is still unannounced. The Xbox Store listing was pulled, and Ubisoft has not confirmed the final price, release date, full platform list, or every upgrade included in the package.
The placeholder price made the leak spread quickly, but the real story is much better than the joke. Rayman Origins appears to be on its way back, and if Ubisoft prices it like a normal remaster, this could be an easy win for fans who have been waiting too long to see Rayman move again.
