Marvel Rivals gets a major DLSS 4 upgrade for smoother PC matches
June 3, 2026·3 min read
Marvel Rivals is at its best when everything is happening at once. Heroes are flying across the map, ultimates are going off, walls are breaking, and teams are trying to win fights in the middle of all that noise. That is exactly where PC performance is most important, and NVIDIA’s DLSS 4 support should make the game feel much smoother on supported GeForce RTX hardware.
The update brings Multi Frame Generation for RTX 50 Series GPUs, while NVIDIA Reflex helps reduce input delay. NVIDIA says the feature can lift performance by up to five times in ideal setups, but the real benefit for most players is simpler: steadier, cleaner team fights when the screen gets busy.
The biggest boost is for newer RTX cards
RTX 50 Series players get the headline upgrade through Multi Frame Generation. The feature creates extra frames between traditionally rendered ones, which can make high-resolution play feel much smoother without forcing players to drop every visual setting.
Marvel Rivals can be visually packed, especially when multiple heroes use abilities in the same space. Extra performance gives players a better chance to track movement, read threats, and react before a fight turns messy.
Players on older RTX cards still have other DLSS options, including Super Resolution and Frame Generation on supported models, but the biggest leap is tied to the newest hardware.

Marvel Rivals is turning 2026 into a road to Doomsday

Reflex important because this is still a competitive shooter
A higher frame rate is useful, but it does not mean much if the game feels slow to control. That is why Reflex is part of the update.
The feature is built to lower system latency, which should make aiming, dodging, and ability timing feel more responsive. In Marvel Rivals, that can matter for quick dives, fast escapes, precision shots, and last-second defensive plays.
The upgrade is not only about making the game look smoother. It also needs to keep the action feeling sharp.
Players should expect results to vary
The “up to five times” number is the best-case figure, not a promise for every PC. Performance will depend on the GPU, CPU, resolution, settings, and how demanding a match gets.
Players using 4K displays or high-refresh monitors will likely notice the biggest difference. Others may use DLSS to keep the frame rate more stable during crowded fights instead of chasing the highest possible number.
That makes the update useful even if the full boost is out of reach. A steadier match can still make Marvel Rivals easier to read and more comfortable to play.
This is a strong PC upgrade for a busy superhero shooter
Marvel Rivals already has the kind of visual style that benefits from strong hardware. The arenas are colorful, the effects are loud, and the action can shift from calm to chaos in seconds.
DLSS 4 gives supported PC players more room to enjoy that without sacrificing responsiveness. It will not matter to everyone, but for players with the right NVIDIA cards, this is one of the most practical performance upgrades the game has received so far.
